What ChainsFlow reads from Kraken
Kraken account balances available to the supplied read-only key, with explicit handling of provider asset codes.
Create the minimum-permission credential
API key and private key with funds-query permissions. Trading, deposit-address management and withdrawals stay disabled. Create a dedicated key for portfolio tracking, review its permissions before saving it and revoke it at the exchange when it is no longer used.
How the balance becomes comparable
Known Kraken prefixes and staking or reward suffixes are mapped back to understandable base assets without changing quantity. Provider responses never leak directly into the dashboard; the product shows a consistent model and marks unavailable valuation instead of inventing a price.
Synchronization and limits
A connection is synchronized when it is created and can be refreshed within the workspace limits. Provider maintenance, clock drift, IP restrictions or changed key permissions can produce a visible synchronization error without deleting the last known portfolio state.
