Kraken balances need provider-aware normalization

Kraken returns account balances with exchange-specific asset codes and can append suffixes for staked or reward variants. The integration maps known variants back to a clear base asset view while preserving the quantity reported by Kraken.

Enable Query Funds and Query Ledger Entries only

Query Funds is required for account balances and Query Ledger Entries supplies the historical ledger used for external-flow analysis. Leave Deposit Funds, Withdraw Funds, Modify Orders and Cancel or Close Orders disabled. Export Data and trading permissions are not required by this tracker.

Held and credit fields are not discarded

The integration uses Kraken balance data to distinguish usable quantity from amounts held by account activity and considers the provider's credit fields. This avoids treating every reported unit as immediately available while still showing the complete normalized position.

The ledger is the basis for cash-flow adjustments

Deposit and withdrawal ledger entries help separate capital movement from investment performance. Query-date restrictions, missing ledger permission or unavailable historical prices reduce coverage, and the result is marked partial rather than overstated.

Use Kraken's optional restrictions deliberately

Kraken supports key expiration, query date limits and IP restrictions. Apply them only when they match how the service is operated, verify the first balance against Kraken Pro, and revoke the key at Kraken when you stop using the connection.
